Accessibility Statement

This accessibility statement encompasses all client-specific SOTERweb systems, as each system follows the design and functionality of www.demo.soterweb.org.uk.

SOTERweb, a trading arm of Montgomery & Coupers Ltd, is committed to ensuring accessibility for all users, including individuals with disabilities. Our approach aligns with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA, with an active roadmap to achieve full compliance by Q1 2026. We continuously review and enhance accessibility and usability whenever possible.

1. Accessibility Features
We have implemented several features to improve accessibility, including:

  • Screen Reader Compatibility – Designed to function without a mouse, supporting assistive technologies such as JAWS, NVDA, and VoiceOver.

  • Keyboard Navigation – Fully navigable using a keyboard, with clear focus indicators.

  • Colour Contrast and Scalability – Text and UI elements meet contrast requirements and allow text resizing up to 250% without loss of functionality.

  • Responsive Design – Optimised for desktops, tablets, and mobile devices, ensuring a consistent experience across all screen sizes.

  • Customisation Options – Registered users can personalise their experience by selecting:

    • Font type and size

    • Bold text as default

    • Custom themes from DevExpress Themes

2. Limitations Due to External Factors
While we strive for full accessibility, certain factors fall outside of our direct control:

  • Browser & Operating System Compatibility – SOTERweb is designed to function with widely supported browsers (e.g., Microsoft Edge, Safari, Google Chrome, Firefox) and utilises accessibility tools provided by these platforms.

  • Embedded Video & Audio – These are uploaded by clients, and some may not be fully compatible with assistive technologies.

  • Third-Party Documents – Documents uploaded by clients, contractors, or consultants may not always meet accessibility standards.

3. Testing and Continuous Improvement
SOTERweb undergoes regular accessibility testing, including:

  • Automated testing with industry-standard tools

  • Manual accessibility audits by our technical team

  • User testing, including individuals with disabilities, to assess real-world accessibility barriers

Feedback from users directly informs our improvements to ensure ongoing compliance with WCAG 2.2 standards.

4. Feedback and Support
We are committed to working with clients and stakeholders to enhance accessibility.
